Lucy Kinski (Dr.) is Postdoc in European Union Politics at the Salzburg Centre of European Union Studies and the Department of Political Science at the University of Salzburg, Austria. Her research focuses on parliamentary representation in the EU multi-level system and combines EU studies with comparative politics. She is the principal investigator of the ERC Starting Grant Project Intangible and Invisible Interests, Concealed Constituents and Excluded Electorates: Understanding the Politics of Absence (INCONEX). She has published in journals such as Environmental Politics, Journal of Common Market Studies, Journal of European Public Policy, Journal of European Integration, Political Studies, Politics and Governance, and The Journal of Legislative Studies. Clint Claessen is a postdoc within the INCONEX project at the Salzburg Centre of European Union Studies (SCEUS). His primary research focus is measuring representative absence in political speech across Austria, Germany, Spain, and the European Parliament. Beyond this work, he investigates party leaders and political careers, applying sequence analysis, machine-learning techniques, and text-as-data methods. Formerly, Clint was a PhD Student at the Institute of Political Science, University of Basel. Martyna Chmura is a Master's student in Public Policy at Sciences Po Paris, specializing in Digital, New Technology. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Leiden University. Her academic and professional focus lies at the intersection of technology and democracy, exploring how digital innovations impact governance and civic participation. As a student assistant for the INCONEX project, she contributes to research by analyzing data, reviewing literature, and conducting content analysis.
Katharina Stierhof is a final semester master’s degree student of European Union Studies at the Salzburg Centre of European Union Studies (SCEUS) at the University of Salzburg. Her academic background is both highly interdisciplinary and international. She is working as student research assistant, supporting the INCONEX project through data and literature research as well as manual content analysis. Previously she has completed her undergraduate studies in Liberal Arts at Royal Holloway, University of London.
